Lewisville Fire Fighters Foundation Announces Newest Scholarship Recipient
The Lewisville Fire Fighters Association proudly announces Caden Taylor as the newest recipient of the Lewisville Fire Fighters Foundation's Captain Gayle Johnson Memorial Scholarship.
Caden graduated from North Central Texas College (NCTC) Fire Academy, one of the toughest programs in the area. The NCTC fire program is led by senior firefighter John Copeland, better known as 'Cope,' a respected member of Lewisville Local 3606. Here is what Cope has to say
"Caden's dedication and work ethic while attending the academy have repeatedly proven him worthy of this honor. His class voted him as the Top Cadet in the class, which means that he is the person that the class feels will make the best firefighter. He is quiet, disciplined, intelligent, and is the most skilled hands-on cadet I have seen in a long time."
Caden is the son of Lewisville Fire Captain Seth Taylor and the grandson of retired Denton Fire Captain Mike Taylor. Firefighting runs in Caden's blood, a heritage that surely raised the bar for his performance, ensuring no favors were given.
Congratulations to Caden on graduating and being selected as the newest recipient of the Lewisville Fire Fighters Foundation's Captain Gayle Johnson Memorial Scholarship. We are confident that Caden will continue the proud tradition of excellence and dedication represented by past scholarship recipients.
